APH has agreed to act within the recommendations of the new KNX UK Code of Conduct. The object of the KNX U.K. Code of Conduct is to give a guide to its Integrator and Manufacturer members of the level and standard of service that has been commonly agreed to be a minimum expected by ‘the customer’.

In a press announcement released during June 2008, studies revealed by the KNX Association show how networked home and building controls based on KNX allows up to 50% energy savings. 

APH has been shortlisted for KNX’s International Award for 2008. The company has been nominated from among 5,136 entries from 42 countries worldwide. 

APH have been awarded 2007 Project of the Year by the KNX UK Association. The award was made for APH’s work on smart flats to help dementia sufferers. 

The association of more than 1000 companies that produce gas, heating and water meters, FIGAWA, recommends the use of KNX as the international standard for all transmission media in home and building automation, i.e. twisted pair, power line, radio frequency and IP. 

The EIBA (European Installation Bus Association) has been renamed as the KNX Association. This is a result of the pooling of resouces of EIB, BatiBUS and EHS into one single organisation to promote the world’s first open standard for home and building control.
