KNX was founded as a result of the pooling of resouces of EIB, BatiBUS and EHS into one single organisation to promote the world’s first open standard for home and building control.

The KNX Association is a consortia of manufacturers who develop technology for intelligent homes using common procedures. That means that all of their devices talk to each other and can operate in one seamless solution.

The system architecture has been tried and tested in thousands of homes worldwide and it can be trusted to deliver in yours.

Confidence in Suppliers

Some of the world's leading electrical and electronics businesses are members of the KNX Association. This means that they are household names that our customers have comfort in using. Furthermore, because there are over 100 different manufacturers involved, you can be safe in the knowledge that your intelligent house does not depend on one manufacturer continuing to support it. Should one manufacturer stop supporting KNX, there are over 100 others who will. 

No Central Point of Failure

Many intelligent home solutions use a central control, without which nothing works. As a consequence, if this controller fails for some reason, the entire home is inoperable - heating, lighting, security and whatever else is hooked into the system.

KNX is different - every item works independently and with its own intelligence. The result is that if one lightswitch breaks, nothing else is affected. There is no way that a whole house can be affected by anything malfunctioning. That is something that gives our customers a great deal of confidence.

Just because you have installed a KNX solution, there is no need to invest in new appliances and equipment. For example, our intelligent home solutions will work with virtually every manufacturer of audio-visual equipment, so you can continue to enjoy your home cinema system - but from every room in the house.
